China-Indonesia Industrial Gases Sector Deepens Strategic Cooperation, Launching a New Journey with Joint Industry Cooperation Summit

On August 29, Mr. Frank Xu, Director of the IG Brand Global Tour Committee, led a delegation to meet with Mr. Rachmat, President of the Asosiasi Gas Industri Indonesia (AGII), and Ms. Gati, Secretary General of AGII. Both sides comprehensively reviewed the pragmatic achievements made since establishing their partnership in 2024—spanning technical matchmaking, resource sharing, and industrial synergy in the China-Indonesia gases sector. They also conducted targeted consultations on the next phase of deep cooperation, focusing on core areas such as equipment upgrades, digital management, new hydrogen applications, and talent training, finalizing several key agreements to jointly promote high-quality, integrated development across the Asian gases industry.

Since establishing their cooperative mechanism in 2024, the Chinese and Indonesian industrial gases sectors have steadily advanced technical integration and market linkage, yielding tangible results. During the meeting, both parties fully acknowledged the efficiency and value of their prior collaboration and agreed to further expand the scope of cooperation. Moving forward, efforts will focus on key areas including traditional gases production equipment upgrades, digital management for energy efficiency, the commercialization of innovative technologies, the application of mature hydrogen technologies, and technical talent training—building a comprehensive, multi-tiered, and sustainable industrial cooperation system.

During the meeting, President Rachmat reaffirmed his high appreciation for the concrete outcomes brought by the IG Brand Global Tour initiative to Indonesia. He expressed sincere gratitude for the "Indonesia National Theme Day" debuted at IG China 2025, noting that it generated a strong response in the global gases industry and provided an exceptional promotional platform for the Samator Group's corporate image.

Finally, both sides reached consensus on three core strategic initiatives:

Co-organizing IG Indonesia 2026: Jointly staging the specialized industrial gases exhibition to serve as an international platform for technical showcases, business matchmaking, and brand promotion.

CIGMA's Active Engagement in AGII Technical Seminar 2026: CIGMA will recommend leading enterprise speakers and organize Chinese delegations to attend, facilitating the export of Chinese gases technologies and brand expansion into Indonesia.

Regional Summit Synergy: The upcoming AGII Technical Seminar 2026 will collaborate with the ASIA INDUSTRIAL GASES ASSOCIATION, gathering representative member associations from Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia. With an expected attendance of around 250 delegates, the forum aims to establish a premier exchange hub for regional industry collaboration across Asia.

This meeting injects renewed momentum into the strategic cooperation between China and Indonesia's gases sectors while building a vital bridge for integrated development across Asia. Moving forward, both sides will leverage the Industrial Gases Cooperation Summit as a bond to deepen multilateral synergies in technology, market access, and human resources, driving innovation, upgrades, and mutual success across the regional industry.
